Black Star Diopside has a star like phenomenon known as Asterism, which means it contains inclusions in the form of needles, that align to produce a white 4 ray star. This is unique, because it's the only gemstone that exhibits a 4-ray star. So don't confuse it with the Black Star Sapphire, which exhibits 6 rays, and sometimes 12 rays.
